The North East Rivers Festival’s vision is to be a major festival for Northern Tasmania and the major festival of the year for the Dorset Region.

2007 saw the inagural North East Rivers Festival take place in NE Tasmania. Last year was a huge success with many new attractions & this year is shaping to be even better .

The mission of the North East Rivers Festival is to create a unique cultural festival that recognizes and celebrates the important of rivers in the North East and draws together the many communities that are situated along the riverbanks.

We will:

• Encourage a sense of community within and between our towns

• Act as responsible custodians of the rivers

• Give effective, efficient, quality service

• Create opportunities where innovation, creativity and an adventurous spirit are all encouraged in a safe, ‘fair play’ environment.
