The North East Rivers Festival would like to thank all of our Sponsors and Volunteers for being a vital part in assuring a successful Festival in 2013. We look forward to working together again in 2014.
The "Derby" has been an exciting part of North East Tasmania for the last 38 years. Every year young folk and adventuresome adults tackle the rapid laden Ringarooma River vying for trophies and bragging rights. Saturday October 25th will see the small township of Derby come alive to thrills, spills and mayhem of the Derby River Derby. A must see. From Friday October 17th through to Sunday October 26th 2014 there are 11 quite different activities across the Dorset Municipality. The first weekend is mainly focused on music with a country music concert at Scottsdale on the Saturday and a concert on the Sunday at Pipers Brook Vineyard. The second weekend is more outdoor adventure with the Crowe Horwath Golf Challenge at Moorina Golf Course just past Derby on the Friday, the Derby River Derby on Saturday followed by the Access Locksmith Bridport 10+ Fun Run/Walk on the Sunday morning. Our last event for 2014 will be the Legerwood Lane Hill Climb organised by the Light Car Club of Tasmania. This event gets underway around 9:30am Sunday. Make sure you become part of the Festival in 2014.
